Officially.. Al Ahly of Egypt decides its stance on offers for its players to turn professional this summer

Cairo, Egypt – Al Ahly SC has decided on the possibility of its players leaving for professional careers abroad during the current summer transfer window, after the club’s management decided to close the door to discussing any offers concerning the first team football players.

Al-Ahly confirmed in an official statement that the decision comes within the framework of maintaining the stability of the team and meeting the needs of the technical staff, in preparation for competing in the new season at the local and continental levels.

Al-Ahly refuses to discuss offers for professional contracts

Al Ahly Club said in its statement: “The club’s management has decided not to discuss any professional offers for the first football team players, whether in a friendly or official manner, during the current transfer period, in order to ensure the stability of the team and provide all its technical needs, in preparation for the new season’s competitions at the local and continental levels”.

The decision of the Egyptian club’s management comes in light of its desire to maintain the core of the team and to give the technical staff, led by Hussein Ammouta, the opportunity to work with a stable roster before the start of official competitions.

Al-Ahly prepares for the new season

Al Ahly aims to compete strongly in local and continental championships during the next season, most notably regaining the Egyptian Premier League title, in addition to competing for the Egypt Cup and the League Cup.

The team will also participate in the African Confederation Cup during the new season, after missing out on the African Champions League.

Al Ahly is currently holding a training camp in Spain as part of its preparations for the new season. The camp includes two friendly matches against Badalona and Barcelona on August 12 and 19.
