Carol M. Hyman, 68, of Brockton, Massachusetts, passed away June 25, 2026. Native of Port Antonio, Portland, Jamaica, she was a daughter of the late Frances (Spaulding) Graham and Victor Hyman. After graduating from Titchfield High School, with affiliated chapters in the United States, Canada and England, she continued to belong to its Alumni Association. While in Jamaica, Carol graduated from Shortwood Teachers’ College and was an educator at Port Antonio Comprehensive High School.
Carol migrated to the U.S. in 1987 and in 1988 began her career as a Fee for Service Clerk with Harvard Community Health Plan and remained with the company through all its entities, now Point32Health, and over the years worked in different positions, with her last being Financial Operations Associate. She loved her family and enjoyed reading and traveling to Jamaica.
Carol was the beloved sister of Sycilian Shackleford of Fairy Hill, Portland, Jamaica, Karlene Hyman of Port Antonio, Portland, Jamaica, Cynthia Hayletts (and her husband John) of Runaway Bay, St. Ann’s Bay, Jamaica, and Jennifer Graham of Brockton with whom Carol lived, and a loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.
All are welcome to calling hours Saturday July 11 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and her funeral service at 12 noon at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton. Private cremation will follow and a memorial service will be held in Jamaica. Live streaming of Carol’s funeral will be available.
