NPFL releases 2026/2027 fixtures as Kwara United host Kano Pillars in opening match

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has unveiled the opening fixtures for the 2026/2027 season, with Kwara United set to host four time champions Kano Pillars in one of the standout matches of the opening round at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl of the George Innih Stadium Complex in Ilorin.

The opening round of matches will usher in a new campaign scheduled to commence on the weekend of August 28 to 30, 2026, following the release of the league’s calendar earlier this year.
