Morocco’s reservoirs reported at 66.79% capacity

Morocco’s reservoirs stood at 66.79% capacity on Sept. 13, compared with 33.33% a year earlier, according to ministry.

The reported national stock totaled 11.37 billion cubic meters against a combined capacity of 17.03 billion cubic meters. The filling rate was 33.46 percentage points higher than on the same date in 2025.

Sebou recorded the highest filling rate among the basins listed, at 79.53%, holding 4.27 billion cubic meters. Tensift followed at 78.83%, Loukkos at 78.44% and Bouregreg at 78.28%.

Oum Er-Rbia held 2.95 billion cubic meters, with a filling rate of 59%, while Moulouya stood at 56.26%.

Stocks were lower relative to capacity in Souss-Massa, at 47.85%, and Guir-Ziz-Ghris, at 39.07%.

The figures show substantial differences between basins despite the stronger national position compared with last year.
