Morocco ranked fourth among destinations for Uganda’s coffee exports in July 2026, receiving 50,222 bags weighing 60 kilograms each, according to Uganda’s Agriculture Ministry.
The shipments amounted to about 3,013 metric tons and represented 5.9% of Uganda’s coffee exports that month, up from a 5% share in June, when Morocco ranked fifth.
Italy remained the largest destination, taking 29.3% of exports, followed by Sudan at 15.1% and Germany at 10.7%, the ministry’s July coffee report.
Shipments to Morocco consisted almost entirely of robusta coffee: 49,905 bags, compared with 317 bags of arabica.
Morocco’s higher ranking came as Uganda’s overall coffee exports fell. July shipments totaled 846,376 bags worth $204.1 million, down 14.9% in volume and 18.4% in value from July 2025.
Robusta accounted for approximately 92% of Uganda’s total export volume during the month.
