Mokwana Awaits Espérance’s Directive on Way…

Soccer Laduma has established that winger Elias Mokwana remains in South Africa, awaiting word from his club, Espérance, on his future.

The 26-year-old was on loan at Saudi club Al Hazem, who are keen to sign him on a permanent deal from the Tunisian giants.

There’s also interest from Algerian clubs MC Alger and JS Kabylie.

He arrived at Espérance from Sekhukhune United in August 2024, on a three-year deal, going on to make 38 appearances, netting seven goals and four assists.

In the midst of intense speculation over Mokwana’s future, the player’s camp—Cream Sports Management—has called for calm.

“We’re still contracted to Espérance; let’s respect that. We are not going to comment further than that at this stage,” said Pontsho Madumo, managing director of Cream Sports.

“I don’t want to be in the media and say, ‘Hey, the player is going there. Hey, the player this’. You understand? We will definitely give you an update at the appropriate time,” Madumo added.

Mokwana was part of Bafana Bafana’s squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations but failed to make the cut for this year’s FIFA World Cup.

He has played 12 games for South Africa’s senior national team, scoring two goals.
