Work will be carried out at Hill Air Force Base in Utah and at locations in Argentina, Bahrain, Chile, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Morocco, Oman, Taiwan, Thailand and Turkey.

The contract is part of the US Foreign Military Sales program and covers 10 foreign customers. Morocco is listed alongside Bahrain, Chile, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Oman, Taiwan, Thailand and Turkey.

The $31.291 million ceiling covers the participating countries as a whole, with no specific amount allocated to Morocco at this stage. The US committed $297,008 in FMS funds when the contract was awarded. The contract is managed by the US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.

The new agreement follows an earlier Lockheed Martin contract that ran from 2023 to June 30, 2026. That contract, FA8604-23-D-B003, was worth $22.895 million and specifically covered engineering and technical assistance for F-16 aircraft.

The 2023 agreement covered 11 countries, including Morocco, and spanned training and technical advice for local personnel responsible for operating and maintaining Lockheed Martin equipment. It was designed to help the participating countries gradually develop their own technical capabilities.

Morocco also received a specific order under that earlier contract for $212,136 in engineering and technical support between January and June 2026.

Morocco is also upgrading its fleet through a broader US defense cooperation program, including the acquisition and modernization of F-16 aircraft.
