Libya’s UN Envoy holds talks on political developments
Libya’s UN envoy, Taher Al-Sunni, met with Danish Ambassador to the UN Christina Lassen, whose country holds the Security Council presidency for August, to discuss the latest developments in Libya and challenges facing the political process.
Al-Sunni said the meeting was part of consultations among Security Council members and focused on efforts to advance Libya’s political process.
He also met with the Security Council’s African members including, Liberia, Somalia, and Sierra Leone, known as the A3, to coordinate a unified African position on developments in Libya.
