Libya, China review construction materials factories and prefabricated buildings

The Minister of Housing, Essam Al-Tamouni, met with representatives of China’s Nantong Construction Company to discuss investment and partnership opportunities and the implementation of construction projects in Libya.

The talks focused on the company’s activities and those of its subsidiaries, particularly the establishment and equipping of construction materials factories. The Chinese company also expressed its readiness to finance a number of industrial and investment projects in Libya.

The two sides further discussed cooperation in prefabricated and modular building technologies, according to a ministry statement issued Wednesday.

They agreed to exchange information ahead of detailed working sessions in the coming period. Nantong Construction Company will provide a comprehensive profile of its commercial activities, along with a list of projects and areas where it could contribute in partnership with the Ministry of Housing.
