The Libyan-US Strategic Partnership Team discussed the latest developments in cooperation between the two countries, including progress under the Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA), as part of Prime Ministerial directives to strengthen economic ties with the United States.
The team approved its report for the first half of 2026, outlining progress and results achieved in recent months, including agreements and meetings with the US side and developments in oil and gas, natural resources, mining, aviation, trade and investment.
The meeting also reviewed cooperation with US companies and institutions, including Boeing, coordination between the Libyan National Mining Corporation and the US Geological Survey (USGS), as well as measures to improve the business environment and facilitate the entry of US companies into the Libyan market.
The meeting was attended by Mustafa Al-Mana, head of the Executive Team for Prime Ministerial Initiatives and Strategic Projects; Oil and Gas Minister Khalifa Abdulsadek; Economy and Trade Minister Suhail Boushiha; and Libyan Investment Authority Chairman Ali Mahmoud.
