Libya has been elected for the first time to the Executive Council of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization, where it will serve a two-year term.
The election was held during the organization’s 29th General Assembly in Rabat, Morocco.
In addition to the Executive Council seat, Libya secured membership on four of the organization’s technical committees. The government said the results reflect member states’ confidence in the progress of Libya’s civil aviation sector and its efforts to strengthen compliance with international aviation standards.
