Libya, Syria officials discuss strengthening ties during talks in Cairo
Libya’s permanent representative to the Arab League, Abdulmuttalib Thabit, has held talks with Syria’s chargé d’affaires in Cairo, Yahya Diab, on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing coordination within the framework of joint Arab action.
During the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of continued consultation on regional and Arab issues, with the aim of supporting cooperation and reinforcing ties between Libya and Syria.
The talks were attended by the head of the political section at the Libyan embassy, Omar Al-Mishri, and an adviser to the Syrian envoy, Mohammed Abu Sari’.
