Libya’s Foreign Minister, Taher Al-Baour, held talks in Tripoli with Chad’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Chadians Abroad, Abdallah Sabre Fadoul, on Wednesday.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation over their shared border, including efforts to combat cross-border organised crime, human trafficking and migrant smuggling.
The two sides also discussed ways to reduce irregular migration and address its humanitarian and security consequences.
They agreed on the importance of closer coordination between the relevant authorities and the exchange of information and expertise to tackle border security and migration-related challenges.
