Former Sekhukhune United head coach Eric Tinkler is back on the field in KwaZulu-Natal after leaving Babina Noko last month.
Tinkler was relieved of his duties at Sekhukhune towards the end of April, after the club reportedly felt he would not achieve the mandate of finishing at least in the top three in the Betway Premiership standings.

The Limpopo side had gone a few matches without victory and experienced a dip in form at the turn of the new year, after they had a blistering start to the campaign.
The former Cape Town City head coach has been linked with his second stint at Durban City, after they appointed Pitso Dladla on an interim basis, following the departure of Gavin Hunt.
Tinkler’s arrival in KwaZulu-Natal to do a coaching clinic and workshop at Hilton College will raise speculation that he could be the permanent successor to Hunt at The Citizens ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Hilton College Football Director Celokuhle Mbanjwa confirmed the Bafana Bafana legend’s presence at their training grounds.
Speaking to the club media, Mbanjwa revealed that Tinkler visited their facilities to run training sessions with the first team squad.
“We did the workshops with some of our coaches, going through tactical and technical plans, modern trends for our technical programme, so we’re very blessed to have him running through tactical and technical sessions for the boys.

“We’re really grateful that he is here (for a couple of days) and we hope the boys learn as much as possible,” Mbanjwa added.
There could be pressure on Durban City to appoint an experienced coach after they qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup following their Nedbank Cup triumph, as Tinkler has been touted as one of the possible candidates, alongside the likes of Ernst Middendorp.
