Kia Advances Community Self-Reliance in Albania and Zimbabwe Through Green Light Project

Kia Corporation completed the handover of its Green Light Project (GLP) operations in Albania and Zimbabwe to local communities. Albania and Zimbabwe mark the 13th and 14th GLP sites to transition to community-led operations since the program launched in 2012. The Albania initiative expanded healthcare access and economic opportunities for approximately 4,300 people in Librazhd. The Zimbabwe program improved living conditions and income opportunities for approximately 34,000 residents in Wedza. Kia plans to monitor both projects over the coming years and will continue supporting the remaining five GLP sites through 2027 as they develop self-sustaining community-led models.
