The Frenchman was officially unveiled by the Reds on Monday afternoon, less than 48 hours before the transfer deadline.

Barcola had been a long-time target for the Anfield side, and his transfer puts an end to weeks of speculation.

In a statement, the club revealed that the Barcola signed a long-term contract with the Reds, where he will wear the number 29 jersey, the same number he donned in Paris.

Sharing his first words with the club, he expressed his satisfaction to have finally completed his move to Merseyside.

“It’s a great pride to be able to play for Liverpool, I’m very happy,” the 23-year-old stated.

“It took a long time, but I’m really happy today to be able to play for Liverpool, and all I want is to be on the pitch and be able to play,” he added.

He joined PSG in 2023 and leaves the club after winning 13 trophies in three seasons, something he hopes to continue on Merseyside.

“I hope to achieve very big things. First of all, winning the Premier League – it’s one of my biggest dreams in my life,” Barcola admitted.

“It is to do that and to stay in this team in the long term – that’s why I signed a long contract – and I hope I can do it,” the Frenchman concluded.

Barcola arrives following three years with PSG, where he made 152 appearances, scoring 39 goals and delivering 35 assists.

He also lifted a host of major honours during his time at Parc des Princes – including back-to-back Champions League titles and three successive Ligue 1 crowns.
