Iraq seizes drone platform used in Saudi pipeline attack
As reported by Anadolu Agency, Iraqi security authorities seized a drone-launching platform on Iraqi territory. According to Saad Maan, head of Iraq’s Security Media Cell, it was used in an attack on an oil pipeline in Saudi Arabia.
The investigation continues
Maan said the platform was discovered and seized by an intelligence and security team. According to him, investigative actions are continuing with the involvement of forensic experts, technical documentation, inspection, and analysis.
Iraqi law enforcement agencies are also conducting intensive field and intelligence work to identify those involved in the attacks. Iraqi army spokesperson Sabah al-Numan previously reported that security and intelligence services continue operations to locate and detain everyone involved.
Maan also noted that Baghdad and Riyadh maintain contacts at various levels to exchange intelligence and security information.

Saudi Arabia’s statement
Saudi Arabia stated that several drones launched from Iraq struck the East-West oil pipeline in the Riyadh and Medina regions. According to the Saudi side, people were injured and material damage was caused as a result of the strike.
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the kingdom would not respond to the attack at this time, following a request from Iraq’s prime minister to give his government an opportunity to prevent Iraqi territory from being used for attacks on Saudi Arabia and neighboring countries.
Iraq’s state-run INA agency also reported that Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi approved Iran’s request for a joint investigation after drone-launching platforms were discovered near the border between the two countries.
