Tripoli – The General Authority for Hajj and Umrah announced Thursday the official opening of registration for the 1448 AH (2027) pilgrimage season. The authority invited eligible applicants to register through the Hajjaj online platform.
Applicants must be Libyan citizens. They must not have previously performed Hajj, either at their own expense or as part of the Libyan pilgrimage delegation. Candidates must be at least 35 years old.
Applicants are required to be in good physical health. They must be free from mental, psychological, and contagious diseases, as well as open-heart surgeries, kidney dialysis, tumors, and any form of memory loss. The medical requirements follow the guidelines issued by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health. Selected candidates will undergo medical screening determined by the authority.
Winners must hold a valid electronic passport with at least six months’ validity from the ninth of Dhu al-Hijjah. They must also agree to travel and accommodations as part of supervised groups. Women are not allowed to register without a legal male guardian. No substitutions or transfers are allowed after selection.
The authority stressed that the phone number used for registration must be linked to the applicant’s national ID number. Applicants should keep their registration number and complete required paperwork within the designated period.
Fifty percent of the total pilgrims’ quota is reserved for applicants aged 65 and older, according to the approved procedures. Anyone found to violate the registration conditions will be excluded. The authority urged interested individuals to register through the Hajjaj online platform.
