Haitian filmmaker Telisme Ernandias expands reach through digital productions
Independent Haitian filmmaker and cinematographer Telisme Ernandias, professionally known as Dias Thelus Films, is leveraging digital platforms to produce and distribute audiovisual content to audiences across Haiti, North America and the Caribbean.
Based in Florida, Ernandias has built a career spanning filmmaking, cinematography, video production and digital media, reflecting a growing trend among independent Haitian creators who combine multiple production roles outside traditional television and cinema systems.
His portfolio includes narrative short films, collaborative productions, videography for digital media projects and production work for unscripted programmes distributed through online platforms.
Among the projects he has contributed to is Haitian Reality Show, an unscripted digital programme featuring Haitian personalities and online content creators. As a member of the production’s media team, Ernandias produces visual content, manages media coverage, and conducts interviews with cast members and guests.
Beyond unscripted programming, Ernandias has worked on narrative filmmaking, including the two-part short film Lespri Prizonye, which was released through digital platforms. The production, which featured musical artist Djemsly Haiti, involved his work in directing, cinematography and post-production.
His collaborations also include the short film DOUBLE-FACED, produced alongside Decoste Christopher Jeudy, as well as visual production work for L’OURAGAN, featuring Fedna François.
Across these productions, Ernandias has taken on a range of responsibilities, including directing, camera operation, editing and preparing content for digital distribution, depending on the requirements of each project.
He has also provided production services for online creators, delivering video content tailored for digital platforms where projects often require faster turnaround times than conventional film productions.
In addition to entertainment, Ernandias has contributed to digital journalism as a videographer on projects associated with journalist Dolvy Destine and the Pale Anpil Show, producing interview and news-related visual content.
