PNH : Wanted Notices

The Haitian National Police (PNH) has issued two wanted notices for Esther Thomas, alias Nice B, and Darlens Duclona, ​​alias Enspektè tèt kale. They are being prosecuted for murder, attempted murder, and criminal conspiracy. These notices follow the murder of Baby Love, a case that went viral after images were circulated on social media showing the two individuals mutilating their victim with machetes.

Expanded Responsibilities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship

In a decree published in the official gazette, the Government establishes the organization and operation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship (MAEC). The text specifies that the Ministry’s responsibilities extend beyond diplomatic relations and entrusts it with implementing the country’s foreign policy, developing relations with other states and international institutions, and defending the interests of Haiti and its citizens. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MAEC) is also responsible for coordinating the State’s actions in international relations and managing agreements with churches and religious organizations.

REVIV : Call for Proposals #4

Led by FOKAL and funded by the European Union, REVIV announces the opening of its fourth call for proposals, entitled “Creativity in Service of the Common Good”. Each selected project can receive up to USD 10,000 for a maximum implementation period of nine months, within an overall budget of €50,000. Hurricane Season : Securing Heritage

All Directors General of affiliated organizations, Central Directors, and Departmental Directors are urged to take all necessary measures, in anticipation of potential severe weather, to strengthen the security of administrative and other buildings in order to protect archives, books, works of art, musical instruments, archaeological and historical artifacts, collections of all kinds, and all the heritage of the national institutions under their care throughout the country. Historic monuments and parks must be placed under special surveillance throughout the hurricane season. In the event of imminent danger due to the age or vulnerability of the premises, or their location in a high-risk zone, the relocation of documents and objects that can be moved, following proper procedures and with express authorization, to safe storage locations must be considered. Therefore, an ad hoc committee has been established within the Minister’s Office, composed of the Chief of Staff, the Director General, and the Director of Administration and Budget, to facilitate all emergency operations.
