The Government of National Unity (GNU) has reaffirmed its support for innovation and entrepreneurship programmes and competitions as a way of empowering young people and increasing their contribution to development.
Youth Minister Haitham Al-Zahhaf made the remarks while attending the closing ceremony of the international Hult Prize entrepreneurship competition in London.
During a visit to the organisation’s headquarters, Al-Zahhaf met its director general and regional director. They discussed the government’s plans to support and empower young people through international programmes and competitions.
The Youth Ministry said the visit reflected the government’s focus on youth empowerment, noting that Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah had also attended the national finals of the Hult Prize competition in Libya.
