Frontier Airlines Expands to Colombia with New International Routes

Lance Lyttle, Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, said: “We are pleased to support Frontier’s continued growth at Orlando International Airport with the launch of its new nonstop service to Bogotá, Medellín and Cartagena. Expanding airline options on these routes gives travellers more choice, strengthens connectivity with Colombia and reflects demand for affordable international travel between Central Florida and South America.”

New Services from Orlando

Subject to government approval.

Frequency initially six times a week, increasing to daily service from 6 March 2027.

Flight frequencies and timings are subject to change.

Frontier Updates Its Product Offering

The airline has also introduced changes to its product and customer service offering under its ‘The New Frontier’ programme.

These include UpFront Plus, an upgraded seating option in the first two rows with extra leg and elbow room, plus a guaranteed empty middle seat for customers who select the option.

Frontier also offers companion travel for eligible Frontier Miles members, allowing them to choose a different companion on each Frontier flight. The airline plans to introduce First Class seating in 2026.

Its Frontier Miles programme allows members to earn miles and points on eligible Frontier purchases. Members can reach Elite status for 2026 with 10,000 points, with benefits including priority boarding and complimentary bags depending on status level. Eligible Elite members can also pool miles with family members.

Promotional Fares

Frontier Airlines’ promotional fares must be purchased by 11:59 pm Eastern Time on 16 September 2026. The sale fares apply to selected non-stop travel dates between 14 January and 5 April 2027.

Blackout dates apply from 23–30 March 2027, and availability varies by market and travel date. Other Frontier travel rules also apply.
