Energy: Adjal Issues Directives to Accelerate Partnership and Cooperation Files with Niger and Ivory Coast

The Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Mr. Mourad Adjal, issued strict directives on Sunday in Algiers to accelerate the processing of partnership and cooperation files with both Niger and Ivory Coast. The move aims to serve mutual interests and broaden the horizons of cooperation within the energy sector, according to a ministry statement.

These instructions were given as Mr. Adjal chaired a sectoral coordination committee meeting. The session was dedicated to reviewing and monitoring various topics and files related to bilateral partnerships with Niger and Ivory Coast. According to the same source, the meeting aimed to evaluate the ongoing cooperation initiatives that the energy and renewable energies sector is actively implementing, while sustaining the positive momentum recorded in bilateral relations.

In this context, the Minister issued a series of directives aimed at “accelerating the processing pace of files currently under review and enhancing coordination and consultation among the various concerned structures.” He stressed the absolute necessity of “ensuring rigorous and regular follow-up on the various partnership and cooperation files with Niger and Ivory Coast, and working diligently to materialize agreed-upon commitments. This will ultimately serve shared interests and support the expansion of cooperation in the energy and renewable energies sector,” the statement detailed.

The meeting, which was attended by central executives from the Ministry alongside senior officials from the Sonelgaz group, featured a comprehensive review and discussion of several key topics. Participants also addressed the ongoing exchanges and consultations between the involved parties and assessed the progress level of the files currently under examination, the statement concluded.
