EMA warns of hot weather Wednesday; ‘Feels like’ temperature hits 40°C in Cairo

CAIRO – 26 August 2026: The General Authority of Meteorology revealed that the latest satellite images indicate a rise in temperatures Wednesday across most of the country, accompanied by an increase in humidity levels.

Weather Forecast:

Very hot and humid weather will prevail during the day across most of the country, with hot and humid conditions along the northern coast.

Nights will be warm and humid across most of the country.

Temperatures:

• Greater Cairo: High 38°C, Feels like 40°C

• Nile Delta: High 37°C, Feels like 39°C

• Northwest Coast: High 32°C, Feels like 36°C

• Northeast Coast: High 33°C, Feels like 37°C

• Upper Egypt (North): High 40°C, Feels like 42°C

• Upper Egypt (South): High 43°C, Feels like 44°C
