Chinese president to visit Egypt for talks with El-Sisi

CAIRO – 26 August 2026: Chinese President Xi Jinping is set to make an official visit to Egypt in the coming days, Egypt’s Presidency spokesperson said in a statement on Wednesday.

During the visit, President Xi is scheduled to meet with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to discuss ways to strengthen the strategic partnership between Egypt and China across areas of mutual interest.

The two leaders are also expected to exchange views on regional and international issues, according to the statement.

The visit comes amid the distinguished bilateral ties between Egypt and China, the spokesman emphasized.
