DoGo Power brings grid-forming energy storage to Mali

DoGo Power is a grid-forming energy storage technology provider, developing solar-plus-storage and PV-storage-diesel hybrid solutions for C&I and utility-scale power applications, with an active push into African and Latin American markets

They entered the Mali market with grid-forming energy storage systems aimed at commercial, industrial, and utility-scale power station applications. Access to electricity in Mali remains below 50% overall, falling to under 30% in rural areas, while more than 80% of generationpower still comes from diesel. The country also receives over 3,000 hours of sunshine annually. DoGo’s grid-forming energy storage systems are designed to provide uninterrupted power for critical loads during grid fluctuations or outages. The technology also supports hybrid setups combining solar, battery storage, and diesel generators, reducing reliance on diesel and increasing renewable energy consumption. The systems are designed for weak-grid and off-grid conditions. A first batch of products is arrivingat port, with DoGo Power planning local technical and service teams for deployment and maintenance across the country.
