Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibaha and US chargé d’affaires Jeremy Berndt have backed an agreement reached by the 4+4 mini-dialogue committee aimed at advancing Libya’s political process.
During a meeting in Tripoli, the two described the agreement -initialled last Thursday under UN auspices- as a key step towards elections and greater stability, according to the government’s Hakomitna platform.
The committee agreed to meet again in Libya before the end of August to finalise arrangements for implementing and formally announcing the agreement, the UN Support Mission in Libya said.
