Grand Mufti of Libya: “Ansar Allah’s” Control of Bab al-Mandab Exacerbates America’s Predicament

The Grand Mufti of Libya, Sheikh Dr. Al-Sadiq Al-Ghariani, stated that the control of Bab al-Mandab by “Ansar Allah” exacerbates America’s predicament, as… The victory it markets to itself remains a mirage.

In an address to the Yemen Scholars Conference—aimed at refuting the Saudi regime’s claims regarding the targeting of Mecca (may Allah protect it)—Libya’s Grand Mufti added: “I wish to alert Muslims that the war currently being waged in Yemen—led by Saudi Arabia using aircraft and missiles against the Yemeni people—is not about supporting legitimacy. Rather, it is a war Saudi Arabia is fighting by proxy for the Americans, who have found themselves mired in the quagmire of the Strait of Hormuz.”

He explained that while America tells its people it controls the Strait of Hormuz—claiming the crisis is over and prices are stable—it is actually in a predicament regarding the Strait and fears Ansar Allah reaching the Bab al-Mandab Strait. He stated: “If Ansar Allah gains control of Bab al-Mandab, America will face a situation beyond its capacity to handle; any narrative it markets will remain a mirage that no one believes.”
