Cricket World Cup 2027 qualified teams

The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2026 will be held from October 4 to November 21 in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.

A total of 14 teams, four more from the previous edition, will take part in the 14th edition of the men’s 50-over cricket tournament.

South Africa and Zimbabwe will co-host the tournament for the second time, having previously hosted the 2003 edition, while Namibia will stage it for the first time.

The South African and Zimbabwean teams have already qualified for the tournament as co-hosts.

However, Namibia are not guaranteed a place despite hosting the tournament as they are not a full ICC member.

Namibia must finish in the top four of ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 or qualify through the global Qualifier Playoffs to secure a spot in the tournament.

Eight teams secured their World Cup berths based on the ICC ODI rankings as of September 30, 2026, with the top ranked-sides besides South Africa and Zimbabwe earning direct qualification.

Based on the current ODI rankings, Afghanistan, Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England and Bangladesh are on course to secure the eight direct qualification berths.

The remaining four places will be decided through the 2027 Cricket World Cup Qualifiers, which is scheduled to be held from February 22 to March 23 next year.

The Cricket World Cup Qualifiers 2027 will feature 10 teams: the two next-best-ranked sides that missed out on direct qualification on September 30, the top four teams from the 2024-26 Cricket World Cup League 2 and the top four from the World Cup Qualifier Playoff.
