Chinese Ambassador to Liberia Yin Chengwu Attends Launch Ceremony of Huawei-Aided Digital Village Project in Liberia_Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China
On May 23, Ambassador Yin Chengwu accompanied Liberian President Joseph Nyuma Boakai to attend the launch ceremony of Huawei-aided Digital Village Project in Foya, Lofa County. Counselor Zhang Yimin of the Chinese Embassy in Liberia and Hon. Sekou M Kromah, the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications of Liberia, among others, also attended the event.
Ambassador Yin congratulated the successful launch of the project and expressed that under the guidance of the important consensus reached by the two heads-of-state, China is willing to strengthen practical cooperation with Liberia in areas such as digital economy, infrastructure, and human resources, continue deepening the China-Liberia strategic partnership, and support Liberia in achieving its ARREST agenda. Ambassador Yin also gave an interview at the scene, and donated a batch of stationery and sports supplies to local schools.

President Boakai expressed gratitude for China’s long-standing valuable support for Liberia’s economic and social development and reaffirmed that the Liberian government firmly adheres to the One-China Principle. He noted that the project will significantly improve the learning environment for local students and the living conditions of local residents.
