Brazil’s 2027 Ram Rampage Rebel Ignition Drops With Two Engine Choices, Only 400 Units Available
Ram has another surprise for the Brazilian market. Less than a month after expanding the regional portfolio with the 1500 Big Horn, the dedicated truck brand has returned to Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace to reveal the Rampage Rebel Ignition. As expected from its name, this pickup brings tailored aesthetic improvements and plenty of desirable kit as standard.
The unibody truck is capped at merely 400 numbered units, and the defining hallmark comes in the form of Pacific Blue paintwork. Contrasting this exquisite shade of blue, Ram added gloss-black treatments for the roof panel and side mirror caps, along with hood and side decals.
Rolling on 17-inch black alloy wheels mounted with Pirelli Scorpion all-terrain rubber boots, the special edition provides genuine all-terrain capability without sacrificing pavement manners. Around the rear, its bed receives a black-painted Rambar sports bar for extra visual pizzazz.
Stepping inside the dual-cab trucklet reveals a high-contrast interior, where you are greeted by a combination of black leather and suede on the seats. Eight-way power adjustments and a two-position memory function for the driver are standard, as is Rebel lettering embroidered into the seatbacks.
Echoing the exterior look, Pacific Blue accent stitching trims the multi-function steering wheel, center console, dashboard, and door panels. The pièce de résistance is the custom badge mounted above the glovebox, a plaque that is individually numbered from 10 to 400 to highlight the limited availability.
Standard equipment further includes heavy-duty rubber floor mats with raised edges, illuminated sill plates, a 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and 12.3 inches of Uconnect touchscreen infotainment with cordless phone connectivity. Underneath the sculpted hood, buyers can specify the Rebel Ignition to their requirements with two distinct engine choices. The flagship is a 2.0-liter I4 turbo gasser with 272 ps (268 hp) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of twist.
Being the Brazilian market, of course this lump is compatible with either gasoline or ethanol. The Hurricane-branded engine helps the Rampage hit 100 kilometers per hour (62 miles per hour) in 7.1 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 210 kilometers (130 miles per hour). Customers prioritizing low-end grunt and long-distance travel are offered a diesel unit.
In this case, the oh-so-familiar 2.2 that Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio enthusiasts will recognize as the most popular engine option of said models in Europe. The oil-burner produces a respectable 200 ps (197 hp) while besting the gasoline mill with a muscular 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) in optimal conditions. Both options pair exclusively with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
Active 4×4 Auto is standard, complete with a low-range mode. As implied, the all-wheel-drive system is predominantly front-wheel drive. Using auto mode, the rear wheels engage only when necessary. Safety and driver convenience are anchored by an ADAS Level 2+ suite that includes pedestrian and cyclist detection for the AEB system, ACC with S&G, and rear cross-path detection.
At launch, the Ram brand’s newest special edition starts at 250,990 reais for the 2.0-liter I4 turbo gasoline mill. Upgrading to diesel means 270,990 reais by default. Said prices convert to 48,330 and 52,175 dollars, respectively, at current exchange rates.
