Beirut’s FUTOMAMA Makes Egypt Debut With August 8th Showcase

The after-hours cult favourite spreads its wings outside of Lebanon for the very first time, taking over Mariolino Beach House in Ras El Hekma.

Beirut’s cult after-hours spot FUTOMAMA is making its international debut, moving across the Mediterranean to Egypt’s North Coast where it will take over Mariolino Beach House in Ras El Hekma on August 8th.

Built around a guest-list-only format and a music-first approach, FUTOMAMA has become one of Beirut’s more elusive nightlife concepts. Tucked behind an unassuming Japanese street-food counter, the space has developed a following for its low-key atmosphere.

Founded by Jad Lahoud  as part of Lebanese hospitality and lifestyle company Chapter X, FUTOMAMA’s first showcase outside of Lebanon will be headlined by Spanish DJ and producer, Janeret, a familiar name across Europe’s underground house scene, alongside local favourites Aly Goede, Misty and Omar Azaar.

While the August showcase takes FUTOMAMA beyond Beirut for the first time, the concept remains rooted in what made it stand out in the first place: a focus on carefully selected music and the people gathered around it.
