West Hub Tails enters execution phase

Azule Energy has awarded Saipem a $350 million contract for the West Hub Tails project, part of the Agogo Integrated West Hub development offshore Angola.

The development is located 180 km offshore in water depths of up to 1,750 m. Saipem’s responsibilities cover engineering, fabrication, transportation and installation of subsea infrastructure, including about 62 km of flowlines, risers and umbilicals.

These will be connected to the Agogo FPSO.

Fabrication will take place at Saipem’s Ambriz yard in Angola, with the construction vessels FDS and Normand Maximus deployed for the offshore installation.

The program should take two and a half years to complete.
