Arab Youth Muay Thai Championship in Benghazi postponed
The Arab Muay Thai Federation has announced the postponement of the Arab Youth Championship, which was scheduled to be held in Benghazi from August 10 to 15, 2026, without announcing a new date for the event.
The Arab Muay Thai Federation did not explain the reasons for the postponement decision, nor did it specify a new date for the championship, simply announcing its postponement until further notice.
Libya hosted the previous edition of the championship in the capital, Tripoli, in 2023. Muay Thai, or “the art of eight limbs,” is one of the most prominent combat sports, with continental and world championships held annually.
The most recent was the World Championship hosted by the UAE last October, during which the Libyan national team won four medals.
