Anadolu Efes Istanbul Signs Bruno Fernando for 2026 Season

Anadolu Efes Istanbul (BSL) inked 27-year old Angolan international 207cm center Bruno Fernando (college: Maryland) for upcoming season. He played most recently at Partizan in Serbian KLS league. He managed to play in three leagues last year (!!!). The team played in three different competitions that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In three KLS games he averaged 6.0ppg and 4.0rpg. His team made it to the semifinals. Fernando also played 28 games in ABA League where he recorded 9.9ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.0bpg. And finally he contributed to 32 games in Euroleague where he got 8.4ppg and 4.4rpg. The other team he played shortly was Real Madrid (Liga Endesa) in Spanish league.
In 2019 he was drafted by Philadelphia 76ers (NBA) in second round (34th overall). The former University of Maryland standout is in his eighth season in pro basketball.
He has been also a member of the Angolan international program for some years. Fernando has regularly played for the Angolan senior team since 2016 and previously for the Under 19 National Team back in 2017.
He also represented Angola at the FIBA Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament in Valencia (Spain) two years ago. During this event he scored an average of 12 points per game and had rebounds per game.
Fernando is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Spain, NBA (Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets and Toronto Raptors), Turkey (Fenerbahce), NBA G League (College Park SkyHawks and Maine Celtics) and NBA Summer League (Boston Celtics). Fernando played in the final of Adriatic League in 2026.
Among many awards he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish League Honorable Mention in 2025.
