Cameroon
The Cameroon Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed a cholera outbreak on June 29 after four patients tested positive for Vibrio cholera O1 Ogawa from Mada and Makary districts in the Far North region.
As of June 30, 121 total cholera cases, including four confirmed, and eight deaths have been reported.
The cross-border setting and ongoing local transmission highlight the need for strengthened surveillance, case management, WASH interventions, and enhanced cross-border collaboration to prevent further spread.

Chad
The Ministry of Health in Chad declared a cholera outbreak in mid June after the confirmation of Vibrio cholera O1 Ogawa in two patients in Karal Health district, Hadjer Lamis province.
Transmission has since spread to 18 villages across five health areas in the districts.
As of June 29, 120 total cases, including 7 confirmed and four deaths have been reported.
Africa
Continent wide, Africa has seen 63,095 total cases (646 confirmed) and 1,229 deaths (CFR 2.22%) from 19 African Union Member States since the beginning of the year.
