Advantage General rebrands as Sagicor General Insurance Jamaica | Business

Advantage General Insurance Company has officially rebranded as Sagicor General Insurance Jamaica Limited, bringing more than six decades of experience in Jamaica’s general insurance market under the Sagicor brand.

The company became a member of Sagicor Group Jamaica in 2019 and says the transition reflects its continued growth and integration within the wider Sagicor family.

It says the rebrand will strengthen its ability to draw on the group’s expertise and resources while creating new opportunities for growth, innovation and enhanced customer service.

Chief Executive Officer of Sagicor General Insurance Jamaica, Dave Morrison, described the move as a natural progression for the company.

“For more than six decades, Advantage General has earned the trust of Jamaicans by being there when it matters most. Becoming Sagicor General Insurance Jamaica builds on that record,” he said.

“We are bringing our experience and relationships together with the strength, scale and resources of one of the Caribbean’s leading financial groups so we can serve our clients even better and create new opportunities for growth.”

The rebrand is also intended to strengthen alignment and collaboration across Sagicor’s regional operations, allowing the company to share expertise and capabilities across markets.

Patrick Hinkson, President and CEO of Sagicor General Insurance, said the transition is an important step in the organisation’s transformation.

“This is more than a change of name. It brings the business into a stronger regional network, creating more opportunities to share expertise, innovate and serve clients across our markets. Just as importantly, it preserves the experience, relationships and values that have made Advantage General successful for generations,” Hinkson said.

The company says clients, brokers and partners can continue to rely on its existing products, services and familiar teams during the phased transition.

Under its new identity, Sagicor General Insurance Jamaica Limited says it will continue helping clients protect what matters most while leveraging the wider Sagicor Group to deliver more connected services and support continued expansion.
