Abu Qir Fertilizers clinch historic Egyptian Premier League promotion – Egyptian Football – Sports

The win brought the curtain down on the Professional League season, confirming Abu Qir Fertilizers as the last side to join the top flight for the 2026/2027 campaign, after a tightly contested race with Lavina FC and Masar for the final promotion berth.

Islam Gaber opened the scoring in the 25th minute, before Ahmed Fayez doubled the lead in the 66th minute. Anas Shandi added a third just three minutes later, and Mahmoud El-Oksh wrapped up the rout with a fourth in the 88th minute.

Abu Qir Fertilizers needed nothing less than a win to guarantee promotion regardless of their rivals’ results, and they delivered emphatically.

The victory lifts the Alexandria-based club to 58 points in third place, while Raya finish bottom of the table on 22 points.

Canal SC and Asyut Petroleum had already secured their places in the top flight, having finished first and second in the Professional League standings respectively.
