At the beginning of the year, the Texas Longhorns brought in a big fish, landing a commitment from the four-star edge rusher Cameron Hall, an elite in-state addition to the Horns’ class of 2027 recruits.
Now, as a proud Texas commit, Hall is doing everything that he can to bring in more star power, and that includes publicly sharing his excitement when other blue-chip prospects schedule visits to Austin.
When it was reported that five-star defensive lineman Kellan Hall had scheduled a trip to Austin to visit the Longhorns, Cameron reposted it on X (formerly Twitter) to let the world know.
5-star DL Kellan Hall set to visit Texas Longhorns
The uncommitted Hall is the No. 1 defensive lineman in the country, and the No. 7 overall prospect. A Kentucky native, he is the No. 1 prospect out of the state.
All of that is to say that he has received dozens and dozens of offers from elite programs across the country. He has taken 24 visits, including four to Notre Dame and three to the Oklahoma Sooners, Tennessee Volunteers, and Ohio State Buckeyes.
With over a year remaining in his high school tenure, he has yet to take any official visits, and this trip to Austin will be his first time visiting the Longhorns.
Kellan is scheduled to visit Texas over the weekend of May 31, kicking off an extremely busy summer of visits (both official and unofficial) for the Horns and head coach Steve Sarkisian.

You may have caught on that the two players share a last name, and when Cameron reposted the initial story that Kellan would visit the Horns, he called him “Cuz,” a term of endearment for cousin.
While the two hadn’t officially been linked as family, it’s impossible to deny that the pair is likely cousins. Beyond the Longhorns being able to utilize the name of the University of Texas to attract recruits, it undoubtedly helps when they’ve already landed the commitment of one family member.

Cameron chose Texas over a slew of other programs, including the Horns’ rivals, the Texas A&M Aggies and Oklahoma Sooners, as well as the TCU Horned Frogs, Texas Tech Red Raiders, and SMU Mustangs.
