2027 AFCON qualifiers: Morocco to face Gabon and Lesotho on September 25 and 29

Morocco will begin its 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on September 25, 2026, against Gabon in Rabat, before traveling to South Africa to face Lesotho on September 29 in Bloemfontein.

The national team will kick off its continental qualifying campaign against Gabon on September 25, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) said in a statement on Monday. South African referee Abongile Tom has been appointed to officiate the match.

On the second matchday, Morocco will travel to take on Lesotho on September 29, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. local time at Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein, South Africa. The match will be officiated by Cameroonian referee Abdou Abdel Mefire.
