The Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development, Felix Mhona, has announced that the government is considering increasing the number of boats following the recent ferry disaster that claimed more than 90 lives. Speaking during a parliamentary hearing on the incident, the minister explained that adding more vessels would reduce overcrowding by offering passengers additional travel options.
He said the government is also stepping up efforts to improve water transport safety measures.
