Yemen Receives Preliminary Arrangements Document for Upcoming Hajj Season

The Yemeni government received, on Friday, the “Preliminary Arrangements” document for the 1448 AH / 2027 AD Hajj season, signaling the start of early preparations for the upcoming season. This took place during its participation in the “Khitaamuhu Misk” (Its Ending is Musk) ceremony, organized by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to mark the conclusion of the 1447 AH Hajj season.

The participating Yemeni delegation was headed by the Minister of Endowments and Guidance and Head of the Yemen Pilgrims Affairs Office, Sheikh Turki bin Abdullah Al-Wada’ei, who was foremost among those welcomed upon arrival at the ceremony by the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah.

The document was delivered in the presence of the Acting Undersecretary for the Hajj and Umrah Sector, Aref Al-Barkani, and the Assistant Undersecretary for the Sector, Tariq Al-Qurashi. It included a set of organizational procedures and early arrangements for the upcoming season, aimed at enhancing the efficiency of planning and advance preparation, contributing to the development of services provided to pilgrims, and raising the level of coordination among relevant authorities.

During the ceremony, the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah reviewed the prominent features of preparations for the 1448 AH Hajj season, chief among them being the early adoption of the comprehensive Hajj package, which includes Holy Sites services, accommodation in Makkah and Madinah, and catering services. This is in addition to developing Holy Sites packages within three main categories to give pilgrims more flexible and quality options.

Al-Rabiah stressed the importance of early preparation for the upcoming season and continuing to develop the Hajj system and services provided to the guests of God, in line with objectives to elevate the pilgrim’s experience and improve the quality of services at various stages of the spiritual journey.

Yemen’s receipt of the preliminary arrangements document comes within the framework of efforts aimed at early preparation for the next Hajj season, ensuring enhanced organizational readiness and providing better services for Yemeni pilgrims.
