Yemen : Houthi Drones Target Yemeni Army Camps in Lahj , Saada

The Houthi militia escalated its drone attacks on Wednesday, striking a government military camp in Lahj province while the Yemeni army announced it had downed an explosive-laden drone in Saada.

Military sources said a Houthi drone targeted a “Shield of the Nation” camp in the Al-Zaytouna area of Al-Anad, Lahj, southern Yemen, wounding one soldier with minor injuries. No further losses were reported.

The sources noted that the assault reflects ongoing attempts by the Houthis to hit government troop concentrations across multiple fronts, urging commanders to heighten security readiness, avoid open gatherings, and adopt preventive measures against drone strikes.

In a separate development, a military source in the Razamat axis confirmed that army air defenses intercepted and destroyed a Houthi drone rigged with explosives before it reached its intended targets in Al-Safra district, Saada province the group’s stronghold.

Meanwhile, emergency forces reported several injuries and the survival of Brigadier General Hisham Al-Jammal, commander of the 2nd Special Brigade, after Houthi drones struck positions in the Alab axis of Saada. The incident underscores the militia’s intensifying use of drones against Yemeni military formations across the battlefronts.
