Yemen Expresses Solidarity with Algeria , Offers Condolences to Nepal


Aden — The Republic of Yemen has expressed solidarity with Algeria following deadly wildfires that swept through several regions, while also extending condolences to Nepal over the victims of recent floods and landslides in Rasuwa District.

In a statement Friday, Yemen’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates conveyed “its deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the Government and People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria” over the wildfire casualties. 

The ministry affirmed Yemen’s solidarity and support, leadership and people alike, for Algeria in this tragedy, praying for mercy for the victims and a speedy recovery for the injured.

Separately, Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council Chairman, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, sent a cable of condolence to Nepalese President Ram Chandra Paudel, mourning the victims of the floods and landslides. 

Al-Alimi, speaking on behalf of the council members and the government, expressed profound sorrow and heartfelt sympathy to the families of the victims and the Nepalese people, wishing recovery for the injured and protection for Nepal from further harm.

The dual messages highlight Yemen’s commitment to standing with nations facing humanitarian crises, reinforcing its diplomatic ties with both Algeria and Nepal during times of tragedy.
