Despite Manqoba Mnqgithi arriving at Young Africans SC with his own backroom staff, the Tanzanian giants are expected to retain former interim coach Abdihamid Moallin.

A source close to the club has informed Soccer Laduma that Moallin will remain with Yanga and serve as Mnqgithi’s first assistant coach next season.

“Yanga will retain Abdihamid Moallin as their first assistant coach. He took charge on an interim basis following Pedro Gonzalez’s departure,” the source revealed.

“Mnqgithi will bring a second assistant coach, a fitness coach, a set-piece coach and other members of his technical team. However, Moallin will remain at the club, meaning Yanga will have two assistant coaches.

“Patrick Mabedi will not be part of Mnqgithi’s technical team next season. Moallin is the only member of the previous technical staff who will remain.”

Former Bafana Bafana assistant coach Kagisho Dikgacoi and performance analyst Yardaan Valodia are already in Tanzania with Mnqgithi.
