On June 16, the French team kicks off its 2026 World Cup campaign with a highly anticipated opener against Senegal. Broadcast at 9 p.m., the match is expected to draw thousands of fans to bars, rooftops, terraces, food courts, and other fan zones across Paris, where several venues will show the game without requiring reservations.

World Cup 2026, France-Senegal, Paris: the countdown is on! On Tuesday, June 16 at 9 p.m., Didier Deschamps’s Bleus kick off the North American World Cup with a highly-anticipated opening match against the Lions of Teranga, sure to be closely watched by Parisian supporters.

Organized across the United States, Canada and Mexico, this World Cup 2026 is set to be historic, with 48 nations taking part. Several spots in Paris have already announced screenings of the Blues’ matches on big screens. Fans will thus be able to head to the fan zones planned for the occasion, in the sports pubs, in the bars and restaurants of the capital, but also on the terraces and rooftops to cheer the Blues outdoors.
