Australia’s counter and finish by Nestory Irankunda is the difference in the game at the break.

Turkey controlled possession and had more chances (10 total shots to Australia’s 4), but couldn’t find the back of the net and will need a second-half score to avoid a letdown.

On the heels of that Australia goal, Turkey has been extremely aggressive in trying to level and this chance from Abdulkerim Bardakci almost found the net, but Aussie GK Patrick Beach got just enough of it and the ball glanced off the post.

We’re at the midway point in the first half and the Turks have 4 shots to Australia’s 1. Still no real dangerous moments in this one but the Aussies are controlling possession.

It’s been a bit of a cagey affair thus far.

There haven’t been too many dangerous chances thus far. As expected, Turkiye has been the more aggressive side and had a couple decent opportunities, but not much has threatened Aussie GK Patrick Beach.
