MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Wisconsin has hired longtime NFL executive Morocco Brown as the next general manager of the football program, ESPN’s Pete Thamel is reporting.
Brown heads to Madison following a brief stint as the Chief Personnel Executive with the Indianapolis Colts. He also spent time with the Cleveland Browns, Washington Commanders and Chicago Bears in his NFL career.
The general manager position is filled in the place of UW interim athletic director Marcus Sedberry.
This stands as the biggest move for the Wisconsin athletic department, following the recent departure of former athletic director Chris McIntosh, who took on a position with the Big Ten Conference.
The Badgers open up their upcoming season on September 6, as Wisconsin and Notre Dame kick off the college football season up at Lambeau Field.
