WATCH THURSDAY AT 7PM: Haiti On The Line: The TPS Emergency
With termination of temporary protected status for Haitians on July 27, immigrant communities across the country are left asking: “What’s next?”
On Thursday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m., a special joint broadcast called Haiti On The Line: The TPS Emergency, will be broadcast on GBH 89.7 and will stream live on YouTube at the link above.
The 60-minute special is produced by GBH News in Boston along with WNYC in New York and WLRN in Miami. Those three public media stations represent the three cities with the largest Haitian populations in the country.
Hosted by WNYC’s Brian Lehrer and GBH’s Paris Alston, this forward-looking radio special will address the fallout from the end of TPS for Haitians, including the challenges facing people and businesses directly impacted by this policy change, as well as the broader consequences.
