Vivaro Deploys Appear X20 Platform for FIFA World Cup Coverage – Sports Video Group

Vivaro deployed Appear’s X20 Platform to process and transport live video during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, supporting broadcasters and streaming platforms in Canada, the U.S., Portugal, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, and Argentina across all 104 matches.

The deployment used HEVC for bandwidth-efficient delivery and JPEG XS for high-quality contribution at sub-frame latency, with linear feeds distributed to customers over SRT. Both codecs were supported within the same modular platform.
